چکیده

Understanding the population genetic processes driving evolution of plant pathogens is central interest to pathologists and evolutionary biologists alike. However, most studies focus on host-pathogen associations in agricultural systems high environmental homogeneity less known about structure pathogen populations infecting wild plants natural ecosystems. We performed parallel sampling two pathogenic Epichloë species occurring sympatrically different host grasses seminatural grasslands Europe: E. typhina Dactylis glomerata clarkii Holcus lanatus . sequenced 422 haploid isolates generated genome-wide SNP datasets investigate diversity structure. In both geographically separated formed genetically distinct groups, however, separation was compared The patterns among admixture also differed between across same geographic range: we found higher levels differentiation a stronger effect isolation by distance , consistent with lower gene flow former. This pattern may be explained dispersal abilities expected influenced populations. addition, indicative effective size typhina. These results suggest that drift efficacy selection differ species. Our study provides evidence how ecologically similar occupying geographical space can experience contexts, which could influence local adaptation co-evolutionary dynamics these fungal pathogens.

Diversity of Plants and Animals in Mountain Ecosystems in Tajikistan

Tajikistan is a hotspot of plant and animal species diversity and endemism andis important for the conservation of biodiversity on a global scale. The country is located ata biological crossroads. Species from Central and Northern Europe, Central Asia, theMiddle East, and North Africa mingle here with endemics found nowhere else. Genetic Diversity and Population Structure of Iranian tulips revealed by EST-SSR and NBS-LRR Markers

The genus Tulipa L. (Liliaceae) comprises about 100 species and Iran is considered as one of the main origins of tulips. In this research, genetic diversity and population structure of 27 wild populations of tulips collected from Iran were studied by 15 highly polymorphic and reproducible expressed sequenced tag-simple sequence repeat (EST-SSR) markers and 8 nucleotide binding site (NBS)-enzyme...

A Comparative Analysis of Genetic Diversity and Structure of Whooper Swan (Cygnus cygnus): A New Considerable Established Population in Iran

New wintering populations of Whooper Swan have been recently reported from west Asia, a lack of information about the population and its origin. The understanding the genetic structure and connectivity are crucial for determining strategies of management for its conservation programs. The samples were collected from two populations in northern Iran, Finland, Sweden, and Iceland, where with larg...
